Udon Thani and Vientiane - Part I

these are some overdue photos taken during my familiarization trip to Udon Thani @ Northern Thailand and Vientiane @ Laos PDR.

*actually have more pictures but the uploading takes yearsss...."
it's TigerAir's maiden flight to Udon Thani and TigerAir's CEO traveled along and gave a speech upon arrival @ the hotel during the Press Conference. it's my first attempt for such event and was actually excited for it, felt like a reporter or a journalist for a change haha!

this is our coach with very comfortable seats... surprised ya? can still find such luxurious transportation despite the place being kinda backwards. this goes to prove that they are preparing for tourism to take place.

can u imagine? 2 queen-size beds in a room when i'm sleeping alone... scary leh... dinner went on wif lotsa laugher and even did a body massage at a very low price in the room hahaha

this resort is located somewhere up the mountain and because the owner built a water feature at the foot of the vincinty, the view was magnificant esp during the sunset and sunrise moments. it has a misty look because it was very cold there... less than 10 degree celsius.

we visited alot of temples in both Udon Thani and Vientaine... below are the pictures selected randomly.

these are some sculptures that appear in an old man's dream and he is determined to make all that he had seen in his dream into reality as he believe it's God's message to him. All the scrulptures contain much Hindu and Buddhist form. These are all located in the same vicinity.

Music

it is true that music can touch people's heart to the extend one may even tear when listening to it.

music is abt feelings... emotions... message within melody... and only people who share the same wavelength could relate to it.

am amazed hw music could complement a show so beautifully... for without music... it's like life without soul.

A Phrase

"a much awaited love is like a miracle from God, once it arrives, it stays with you forever."

i love this phrase... given to me from bro a long time ago.

i believe in it too... and hopefully the day will come =)

giving unconditionally...

admire and am happy to know that there are still people in this world who gives unconditionally...

was watching a tv prog yest and came to know of a doctor who will travel all the way to another destination to get a bone marrow for a patient within 24hrs to save his/her life. i think it sorta became part of his mission in life cos his son went through exactly the same ordeal when he was younger, so he could fully understand how anxious and helpless the parents are.

sometimes life hits us so hard that we thought "that's it! it's the end of road." little did we realise that sometimes it's another person (perhaps a total stranger) who can help to change the entire situation. it's amazing... yet it's true.

another occasion I went swimming with my friend, we saw this foreigner man, about my grandpa's age, who is 1 leg crippled, walking towards the pool with his clutches. after some time, he managed to get into the pool all by himself and he was swimming happily just like any one of us. from then, i often see him in the pool and i'm so amazed by his optimism towards life.

little things like this brighten my day alot... cos it always make me realise that there is so much more in life to cherish and to look forward to because we are very blessed. and because of that it is impt that we learn to be contented and to learn to give... unconditionally.

the returns of giving unconditionally is much more than you could expect... happiness =)
