My 22nd Birthday!

Thank you friends for spending the time and effort celebrating birthday for me.

It was romantic, fun and had taken one of my "first times" away haha...

Saturday afternoon, Mag, Steph and Mel accompanied me to Jurong Fuji Ice-Skate Rink to skate for the first time. Got the wrong pair of skates at first which hurt my legs alot...then changed to another pair and managed to learn skating in about 1.5 hours' time without falling hehe. Look at our pic... look professional don't we? hahaha whoops!

In the evening at about 6pm, the sky turns dark and it was pouring in Jurong. I was very worried that the dinner venue might have to change and God is always kind to me. The weather was most soothing and windy when we reached Marina South and we waited for the rest which includes Roger, Flo, Kimting, Shereen (Dajie) and Joanne, for steamboat buffet dinner. Cheap and Good! Yummie!

After which, we proceeded to Mount Faber highest peak... it was so nice loh... the weather was super good too... breezy and there was full moon then. Suddenly, I realised that a few hours later, it was my Lunar Chinese Birthday which is so coincidental haha. We took pictures and I opened all my gifts at the peak. Was so touched by everyone's sincerity and efforts in choosing presents for me loh cos I loved them all hee *blush*

I loved macky's trible necklace and earrings, now gotta search for suitable clothes to match it ler haha. loved steph n mel's cute cat bag... i loved the blue... just like the colour in the sky... i love nature mah. loved joanne's piglet... so big and comfy to sleep on lor. super love roger and flo's purple bangle... it was very unique and i especially like the color combination...best part is it's handmade and there's only one piece in the world loh hehe thx bro! last but not least... i love the beautiful necklace that chris had given... with the moon and stars. even though it may not be handpicked...i appreciate the thoughts behind which means more to me.

then we sat down at The Hill, a bar slightly down from the peak... and celebrated my birthday there with a chocolate cake and birthday song. irritating UNCLE and Mag used whip cream and put it on my face which made my pimples pop out non-stop these days loh : S HATE THEM! then they FORCED me to drink alcohol and trust me.... this is the first time in my life to drink 7 shots of Japanese Nipples and B52 and 1 full glass of Long Island Tea (which i dislike eeek!) my last 3 shots were forced by DAJIE who wanted me to drink to exchange for her presence to Summerset Resort. well... in the end I did drink them up all at 1 shot and i noe i'm gone ler. SUPER sleepy after that loh.... slept in Chris' car... slept in the hawker centre during supper (dun even noe whr they went) and slept thruout in bro's car back home haha... so embarrassing!

was so touched by xiaomei , Jaslyn, for all her time and effort in doing up my big birthday cardboard, the delicious choc cake, pooh bear gift and of course the pink roses! hee... what a surprise loh! the flowers was most unexpected actually but it was definitely a pleasant surprise cos i always love it hee. we celebrated at Burger King in front of Border's bookshop and luckily they spared me by not saboing cos we're in public and i'm still office wear lor... so better dun do anitink funnie k esp UNCLE haha. thanks to everyone who had attended....like dajie, xiaomei, charlene, uncle, reginia, dave and gaurav. also thanks to reginia who gave me a beautiful diary and a bdae card with all the words of encouragement. i'll never forget the "friendship train" which built up our friendship to what it is today.

Finally, finishing up this very long piece of blog...whew... am doing it in the office loh hee.

Welcoming 2006!

had welcomed the new year 2006 in a way which i've always wanted... a night picnic by the beach at labrador park with fireworks in front of us. the celebration was most fantastic and cozy.


we set up mats and pitched tents, even had radio and kerosene lamp available haha! we had pot luck so stefy prepared canadian sandwiches, roger and flo bought drinks (too many though haha!), chris cooked chicken wings , wasabi dory fish and HK mee fen and i've prepared fondue complete with strawberry, banana and mashmellow. had also brought along a small stove to melt the choc but alas! had forgotten tat it requires gas in order to function hee... aniwae wad's new abt me... luckily macky suggested buying a sturner jus in case and melvin helped in setting up the fire so in the end we still managed to eat the sinful fondue hehe :P. i always feel tat there's a silver lining behind every cloud or probably i'm just plain lucky all the times cos whenever i met up with problems or obstacles, there will be frens ard me to either give gd advices or to help me practically... reali love u all lots! hee

Look at the amount of food we have... gosh... as if going to restaurant loh haha!

i had always like such small and simple gatherings... cos it makes one feel relaxed... away from the urban, hectic life. could see tat from everybody's face lor... and i felt especially happie tat everyone is enjoying themselves. we've been playing cards... my fav game SNAP, heart attack, black jack and true or dare. i guess the most memorable game this time round to me is the True or Dare. wouldnt want to elaborate what had happened but it was very fun and had left lotsa memories to me once again...

although this year 2006 had just started only for 3 days... yet it has been a rollercoaster to me. felt the happiest and saddest moment all together in 1 day... haha incredible isn't it? probli it's time for me to grow up bah... i'll continue to learn and my resolution for the year is tat our frenship will juz get stronger as time goes by. i'm certain abt tat!
