Chalet on 15 April 2006

Thank you to ALL who came to the chalet and hope you all had enjoyed yourselves.

This duplex chalet is a much better one as compared to the one we had last Nov because it is more spacious. However, i've to admit that we had more fun at the previous chalet although there was rationing then. This time round, there is alot food wastage and finances were not handled properly too. it was a disappointment to me as a organiser and i felt as if i'd failed in an examination =(

look at the amount of food we've catered for... enough to feed kampong for one week ler .

but of cos no complaints frm mi bcos if i dun make this mistake, i would never have know what is success mah. it's my first time doing a chalet with buffet catering and had realised that it is not as fun as doing a barbecue although it saves much time and trouble. i guess part of the fun is actually the "shopping" or "marketing" part loh, whichever you call it. was kinda surprised that the price for buffet catering wrks out to be almost the same wif barbequing. but it's a gd attempt to try this buffet style lah and i knew that this suggestion came out from good intentions of my friends bcos they dun wan to see me get so busy with so many things. i appreciate this thought alot!

guess who's the big winner? think RED is still the lucky colour when it comes to gambling lah huh hehe

another thing i discovered abt myself from this chalet, being soft-hearted won't bring anyone far!!!!!!! haha!
i'm too embarrassed to collect the fees from everyone although it was already stated online that whoever comes have to pay. haiz... have to learn to be thick-skinned in future already.

overall, did enjoy myself much esp later at night when we play games and chit chat at the space infront of the chalet. can't believe my luck is so down that day cos had lost 3 games and drank down 3 full cups of red wine which i hated. i really dono how to appreciate red wine loh.... hate it since day 1 when i tasted it... yucks! i guess i really dun like sour stuff bah... therefore it explains why i doesnt fancy it at all.
anyway drank the wine too fast at a go and felt terribly dizzy and SLEEPY then haha! as usual! went up the room to sleep but was disturbed by Alliance, Xiaomei, Charlene and Melvin. they jus wouldn't let me off so Xiaomei try to coax me to wake up by playing my fav card game "Snap!" haha so sweet of her! but dono why tat day kept saying "Smap" instead of "Snap" haha... think i'm being brain-washed by her already cos she kept telling me her "Smap" happenings and how much she loved them hahaha! then Melvin managed to took many ugly photos of the drunken me! =S hate him! haha!

xiaomei forcing me to wake up by playing my fav card game "SNAP!"

me SUPER relunctant to wake up cos felt SO sleepy after 3 cuppa red wine...

Oh gosh! look at bro! dun understand what he is doing!!!!!!! so super high lor!!!!! wahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!

dono told melvin how many thousand times NOT to take pictures of me ler, he still does! hate him!!!!!!!!!!

the part i enjoyed most in this chalet is the time we spent in the room when the majority left. it was abt 3+ am then and left with only me, mag, xiaomei, dajie, sean and chris. it was a very cosy kinda feeling although the aircon is freezing cold, we joked alot and had a gd laugh! dajie was tellin me tat she saw another side of chris when he wore his spec and he has a new nickname now "Daxiong" from the Doremon cartoon show by dajie and "Chris gorgor" by xiaomei. wahahaha! winner of the night will have to go to alliance bcos he is the only living soul who's awake till the morn haha! sorry ah.. really cannot stay awake liao cos din slp more than 4 hrs each day for the previous 2 nights so was terribly tired then.

sometimes i think if there is anything like an expiry date to friendship, i hope the time is ETERNAL cos there is so much fun being with one another. hehe

alright so much for now, hope u guys had enjoyed urself and do look forward for upcoming trips hee.

PS Cafe - 08 April

went to PS Cafe - Project Shop Cafe at 28B Harding road which is somewhere off Dempsey Road with my usual gang.

The cafe concept is nice... like a greenhouse with full panels of glass all around. it is like a cafe hidden inside a forest kinda feeling... quite a relaxing place if u come with a small group of frds during OFF-peak hours. they have sofas and tea-tables on one side and dining tables on the other side of the hall. reception is right in the centre facing the main entrance like an island bar. there's an outdoor area with scenic forest view for the nature lovers. the ambience of the cafe is nice however aircon is abit too cold for the indoors and the food is abit on the pricey side. serving wise is very american size so no need to order individual set... share wif ur frds will do for us asians.

could see that the target market is towards the medium to high-end side because most of the customers are well-dressed and drove expensive cars. quite a no. of them are foreigners too.

just a word of advice, if you may wish to dine in esp during wkends, do make early reservations cos most of the time it is Fully Booked. the crowd shld ease from 11pm onwards and it's opened until 1am only. this cafe is abit noisy during Peak hours.

love to comment on the cafes that i went to each time because these are lovely places where it's nice to chill out wif frds. different theme cafes give a different kinda feeling and it's esp nice to find the right company to sit down n chit chat together. i dun usually like to return to the same place though cos love to explore different places for the "new & fresh" experience hee.

sry guys that i dun hav photographs to show cos no money to buy digicam :(
