Great to know you friends!

Finally, I've the time to create my own blog. Special thanks to my sister who patiently teach this "blur" sister here, if not I wouldn't have completed it hee. I used to think that it's a very bo liao thing cos it's so time consuming and only those youngsters with lotsa free time would do it. but alas, I was wrong! it's actually a great way of keeping in contact with friends and to update each other of our recent happenings.

This year 2005 was a fantastic year for me! Time just seems to fly unknowingly and it's October now. I got to know my TMIS schoolmates this May and ECU friends this July. Although, it's just a couple of months' time, we became good friends and all of us had great fun together! Thank God for such wonderful arrangement :) I supposed that this is one of the best things that had happened to me so far this year.

Still remember the first semester, where we TMIS schoolmates just attend lessons and go home straight after that. There wasn't much interaction as we didn't know each other too well and by the time we finished lessons, all of us were already tired and had to rush back home to sleep for work the next morning. It was really the Batam Turi Beach Trip that had bonded us together. All thanks to our Tourism Marketing Lecturer - Roger Loo. Because of him, I made a good friend in ECU, Magdalene. The three of us had organized for that field trip and it was a wonderful experience. From the first day we sat down in Baker's Inn at Plaza Singapura, to Jalan Kayu for prata, to Roger's house and of course with the help of the most helpful tool, the MSN messenger, we had cracked our brains to come out with a whole lot of clues and games for everybody. From then on, the 3 of us became good friends who can talk about anything under the sun and also more people had joined us in the MSN conversations esp after the trip. I do not have to describe how fun the Turi Beach Trip was as I suppose all of us could feel so from the video rightz?

I still remember that I first met ECU friends when I attended one of their presentations on Casino issue. That time, the group members were Sherwin, Thomas and Stephanie. They had impressed me with their confidence in speech and insights to the topic. Then, I realised the difference between diploma and university level in terms of perspective. That night was fun because it was a day before Singapore National Day and we had dinner at the Esplanade Kopi Tiam when the fireworks just exploded before us. However, didn't get to see it as we were being blocked by tall buildings. Nonetheless, we had our sumptous meals of chay kuay tong, prawn noodles which cost $10 per packet! gosh! etc etc and it was a simple pleasure just sitting down to chit chat.

Many good things came along the way. On our first lesson of International Tourism Module, the lecturer couldn't make it due to personal emergency, we TMIS went to KBox in Cineleisure and heard each other sang for the first time. This was when I got to know the SQ girls and Mei Yen better too. Shortly after that, me, David, Gaurav, Grace and Mei Yen went to celebrate Jennifer's birthday with her family in a pub on a Friday night. It was a fantastic celebration! I realised that Mei Yen is very fascinated with food and you can definitely get her total attention when it comes to this topic, whoops! haha

Followed on was our debate at Spring Singapore with JCU and ECU. It was an eye-opening experience to hear different ideas and views from the various groups. Definitely a good exposure! I also realised my weakness and had promised myself to overcome it in time to come! Anyway, we came in second place and went to a kopi tiam to have supper as our rewards haha!

The latest event was the KTV outing yesterday on Children's Day - 01 Oct. We went to Party World in Hello Singtel Orchard. The room was filled with much laugher and we had great fun!

Really appreciate for everything that had happened and everyone that had come by. Life is actually that simple isn't it? You do not need to have millions of assets to be the happiest man in earth. As long as you are contented, you will be happy always. Money can't exchange for happiness, only true faith and passion does. I believe that it's not by sheer chance that we've met, it's affinity and bcos all of us share one common passion - Travel and Tourism.

Great things are not going to end here... there are more events to come and do stay tune for more updates!
